Protected Sea Area "Capo Rizzuto": an expanse of sea that stretches for over 13.500 hectares, a place where the millenary history hovers among the landscape beauties and the sunk surroundings: this is the Protected Sea Area Capo Rizzuto’s heritage. A foreshortening sea in Mediterranean Sea that is characteristic of a particular rocky coast which conservs the intact mediterranean stain dominated by a thick pine-wood with mastic trees, thyme, crystalline grass, myrtle, capers, tamarisk, broom and juniper. But they are the depths above all  that make the protected sea area a singular ambient: the immense posidonias grass-land, the white bream, groupers, barracudas, little tunas and sometimes dolphins. The Administrator Board has some inviting services at visitors’ disposal: races on transparent bottom boat, guided immersions, possibility to spend all day together professional fishermen in place and to practise tourism-fish by means of authorized fishing-vessels.(km 20)
